  1. Effector neurons have short dendrites that 
  2. synapse in the spinal chord or in the brain with the axons 
  3. of sensor neurons or interneurons.  Effector neurons have 
  4. long axons which are often myelinated that connect the CNS 
  5. to effector organs.  Interneurons link sensor neurons to 
  6. effector neurons within the spinal chord or the brain.  
  7. Inter neurons most often have short axonal processes 
  8. consistent with their role of linking sensor neurons to 
  9. effector neurons within the CNS.
